Sunshine Foundation's Mission

The Sunshine Foundation's sole purpose is to answer the dreams of seriously ill, physically challenged and abused children from ages three to eighteen. The Sunshine Foundation was founded by retired Philadelphia police officer Bill Sample in 1976. This foundation is in fact "the original" wish granting organization. All proceeds generated from our tournament and this site go directly to the Mercer County Chapter of the Sunshine Foundation.  The families of these children also benefit as the financial strain of the child's illness can be overwhelming, therefore limiting the families spending ability to give their children what they truely want. It could be anything from a swing set to a florida vacation or anything in between. By signing up for our tournament or becoming a sponsor, you are making a donation to the foundation and helping us achieve our goal by giving a family something that they truely deserve.

 In this web site you will find pictures, facts and information from our first tournament which took place on June 14th, 2008 at Armstrong Fields in Ewing NJ, the home of Ewing Girls Softball Association. You will also find stories from the families that benefitted from all who donated their time, money and merchandise to make our first tournament a huge success.

Also contained in this site are pictures and stories from other events that have benefitted the Sunshine Foundation. As you browse our Dreamlift pictures, you will see the New Jersey State Police. The NJ State Police donate time and money to our foundation throughout the year by holding numerous fundraisers. They are considered a major sponsor to the foundation. As always, they are granted our respect and we thank them for not only what they do for the foundation, but for what they do outside of the foundation.

Let it be made known that this web site is not the official web site of the Sunshine Foundation. On every page of this site is a link to the official web site. This site is ran by the tournament directors and are Sunshine Foundation members/volunteers. This site's sole intent is to create awareness for the Sunshine Foundation and to promote an event that benefits the Sunshine Foundation.
